Basic. Functional. Fairly clean. A bit dated in some aspects of decor. Reasonable value for the money. Close to Arndale, Corn Exchange and printworks. Main gripe would be the lifts - one not working throughout stay. The other not always working and very slow when it did.

Good:
- staff were friendly when we arrived
- easy to find room
- room was clean
- good central location
Bad:
- could not sleep due to doors banging all night.
- it was not obvious what time check out was; the information in the room was geared to selling extras but the standard check out time was in smaller text and less obvious.
- despite check out being 12pm, we were woken by housekeeping at 10am
- the one lift which was working the night before was out of order in the morning. This meant we had to carry our bags down the stairs from 6th floor.
- we did not get to see any staff when we checked out despite waiting in reception for about 10 minutes
- it is a budget hotel but we paid £170 for one night's stay for 2 people. This seems to be the going rate for Sat night in Manchester but we would expect better for that price.

Had a great stay here. Room was clean, fittings were good. Staff were very informative and helpful. Alan in particular did a great job.

We've stayed in many Travelodge's over the years but this one is the best by far, All the staff are very helpful and NICE!! from the bar staff to the reception to the kitchen/restaurant staff. the hotel is clean, brilliant location and i like the little touches like water being available on reception extra tea coffee and sugar being available if you need any just help yourself ! and the coffee and tea machines in the restaurant/bar area available free in the evening. Good breakfast too will be going back for another visit.

Nice location. Good staff. Will sort issues out asap if possible. My door would not self lock. But was offered free dunks or breakfast. Cameras are in all lift lobbies. So security is quite good.
