Took shar pei Monty for visit and was not made to feel welcome. Sorry he's not a puff ball pocket dog but he is a family pet and we should have given the same treatment as any other... Very disappointed won't be back

We visited this pets at home last week to buy some fish for my daughter as her first pet. I have never had fish before so I thought we could buy a tank and fish on the same day. The staff were really helpful and friendly and explained we had to let the filter run for a minimum of 3 days before we could buy any fish, and if we want fish for our 18ltr tank then it would only be a few small fish. This was all unexpected as we thought we would be leaving with goldfish, but apparently the size of a tank that you need for a goldfish is much larger than 18ltrs.
Now the reason I have given them 3 stars and not five is because initially we were pondering on the idea of a Siberian hamster. I asked them to open the hatch so we could see how friendly it was. I was then told NONE of the animals are given any human contact at all! None at all! Can you imagine? So I told them to open it anyway and these two hamsters came up and nuzzled our fingers, really exited at the fact they were getting attention. They were only babies so it really upset me to know they weren't given any attention from staff at all. I really think this needs to change.

Friendly staff. Bought a lovely lop cross 10wk rabbit from here. Very knowledgeable staff...bought my pet supplies some place else though as the accessories are over expensive along with the products. But overall very happy. My lip cross is now 7 months old.
