It's my vets. I wouldn't be going there if I thought it sub-standard. It's a very small practice but the vets and team are welcoming.

Appalling experience!! We took our dear pet dog of 12 years who's health was failing & he was clearly in discomfort. We needed some professional opinion on our options & what was in the best interest of our dog. We explained the situation to the vet, who told us quite definitely our dog was in pain just standing. The vet didn't examine our dog, ask any questions and was almost like he was in auto pilot & was going to treat our dog with medication for chronic diahorea which we had already administered, with no effect. He was happy to leave our dog in significant pain with chronic arthritis. We had to make the heart breaking decision to have our dog euthanased, with the vet showing no empathy or sympathy. It got worse, whilst trying to administer the injection, the vet was losing his temper, shouting at our dear dog for not keeping still whilst trying to insert the needle. It was absolutely horrific & left us mortified by the whole experience. We now have to live with the guilt that we let our dog down in his final few minutes & did not give him the dignity of having the peaceful death he deserved, through no fault of our own. I always believed a vets first priority was the wellbeing and making the right decision for the animal. Clearly in our case, this was not the vets intent & lining his pocket & getting as much money out of us as possible was his intention, at the expense of our dogs suffering. If you care at all about your pet, I would advise you not to take them under any circumstances, we have paid the ultimate price & have to live with our dear pets last few minutes being horrific and inhumane.

Took my loved labrador to this vet to get advice on his health as my wife and believed he was in pain due to arthritis and had lost control of his bowel. He appeared to not listen at all to our description of his condition and symptoms and just seemed more focused on expensive medication and treatment for what was likely to be untreatable due to our labrador Murphy's age and likely internal condition. At 12 years, Murphy was our beloved part of our family and the vet made us feel awful for considering euthanasia and due to him offering us only paste for his diahorea which had already tried and admitting he could only give pain relief for his failing legs we had to ask for Murphy to be put to sleep. The way the vet dealt with this obviously sad event for us made my wife and I in tears for days and to this day, it was the most traumatic experience I have ever had. He asked if we wanted to stay and we did so asked my wife and I to place Murphy on the table and hold him. At this point he tried to inject Murphy in the leg but he struggled due to the pain and vet started shouting as us to hold him still. That moment will live in our heads forever and after serving as a firefighter for 23 years I'm no stranger to trauma but this turned out to be one of the worst days of our lives and I will never forgive this vet. Please, please avoid this vet and keep any precious pets well away!

Was so friendly and helpful professional people. Made a fuss of my cat and didn't upset her at all as she was having a injection. X
