Popped in for an English breakfast to find they had stopped serving them days before :/ but my request to Keiran the Chef for a breakfast was immediately granted :) and what a breakfast it was too! Thoroughly enjoyed it! One happy and extremely satisfied customer here! :)

Used to be a worksheet for canal boat repairs and so still has a 4 boat canal birth inside the building. Then it became a Canal Museum. Then a restaurant. Has a large selection of beers and real ales and ignoring the menu and reading the specials a good selection of meals. The food was pretty good and didn't seem to be the centrally-booked-and -locally-reheated type. I had a steak and chips and it was really good. Best i have had for ages. It was also fun that we took a couple of visiting Italian friends along who had never seen a real English pub before and the indoor dock clinched convincing them it was a good idea.
They also have outdoor seating right down the the canal and the Italians brought their two terriers with them no problem. A really good evening out.

Always a good selection of ales. They have there own brewery onsite so expect well kept beer. Food is good and a decent atmosphere
