Interesting small art gallery set in the castle walls. The gardens would be very nice on a summer day. Would like to come back to visit the caves but need to be brave to negotiate the city centre traffic and directions. Parking is challenging. Not an easy city for the visitor. Even the locals have trouble apparently!

It was a bit tricky to get into the ticket office with a pram, especially if you're on your own. I would imagine if you were a wheelchair user or had a mobility scooter the staff would come out to you.
The castle provides lots of interesting things to see, and is able to keep small children occupied too.
Loved the cafe. It's in demand too, which is positive but it does mean a potential wait to get a table.

Nottingham is a city with interesting history and places.
One of the places I visited while my stay was Nottingham Castle. Build with interesting architecture and quite big area. But only this. It was nice walking around outside and making pictures but inside the medieval atmosphere was none. I understand that it's turned into a "museum and art gallery" but I didn't feel a connection with the outside and inside. I was looking forward to know more about the castle but it didn't happend. Anyway it's one of the significant landmarks of Nottingham so it's nice to go there.

Nice place in a heart of a city. Panorama of the city was great but the city from above looked like many others. I enjoyed the art gallery and the Han furniture event what was happening in there. Entrance is a bit pricey thought it's still worth paying if you are new to the city.

Great art gallery & a glimpse in to times past. The obvious thing to say is that it's not really a castle anymore so those expecting something from the movies maybe disappointed but don't let that put you off. They've done a lot to improve the visitor experience in recent years & it's a worth while visit.
