APPALLED at this Catterry. Rang no answer several times. Left voicemails, no return. Actually visited the Catterry 4 times and despite the sign on the door saying "welcome we are open" there was no answer. Makes me wonder how looked after the boarding cats are when there is seemingly no one there. When you're trying to get things sorted for a trip away you really don't need the extra hassle of the uncertainty of boarding your cats. There is a Catterry called Cat Purrfection around the corner that is brilliant. Don't bother with Black and White. Cat Purrfection is run by a lovely woman called Shelia, a cat behavioural specialist who had spent spent time playing with the kittens and looking after them tremendously while we were away. If you want your little ones looked after, there is no decision to make.

I've used the Black and White cattery a lot over the last few years and my cat is always very well looked after. I cannot thank Elizabeth and Nick enough for taking such good care of her - I would not take my cat anywhere else!

There seem to be some major problems with communication here. I tried to get my cats in many months ago but nobody was answering the phone and emails were ignored. This time around I used the online booking system - it said they had availability over new year so I booked in. When I hadn't had confirmation I emailed, which was ignored, so I phoned and was told they're closed over new year - so the online booking system failed in that respect. Potential customers shouldn't have to chase so hard for bookings. A real shame - I wanted my Ragdoll to go in with them as Ragdoll specialists and was looking forward to having him groomed as well. Can't comment on the experience for the cats since I haven't managed to get mine in, but it's certainly frustrating being ignored.

My cats Chester and Marley have been to this Cattery a few times now and I can't fault them at all. Nick and Elizabeth are pleasant and I know both my cats have been well looked after. Sadly I lost Chester earlier this year but Marley has spent 12 days there (I picked him up today) and again he has been well looked after. The new "check availability" option is a lot better than trying to book directly by phone as if Nick and Elizabeth are busy at the pens your call goes to answerphone, which obviously infuriates some people. Well done Black and White Cattery for being lovely caring people :)

Would not recommend for a reliable contactable service or for pet sitting. Very disappointed at the level of service to say they are 'top quality'. Left numerous messages on voicemail to which were not responded to. The only time I did use them for pet sitting (which again they were a nightmare to get in contact with, especially when you want to see how your furry friend is doing whilst your away) upon my return the house smelt because they hadn't bothered to change the litter, just top it up after removing the number 2s - urine smells too! But also found that one of my cats was sick several times whilst I was away, I know this because it was never cleaned up. And to top it off the website stated £8 a day for one visit, when I came to pay they tried to change me £10 a day. Fair to say I paid the amount the website stated which they begrudgingly agreed to. All in all not impressed with Black & White Cattery, they are not all they are cracked up to be, my cats where not at the heart of the company and for this I would never use them again.
