Stunning hotel in great condition both inside and out. Room was very comfortable, great views, and plenty of space. Hotel lounge was incredible, lots to read, not much on the menu but to be fair that's what the restaurant is for! What was in there was served quickly, fresh and well presented. Would love to stay again.

Hotel with alot of history. Captain Scott stayed here before his fateful expedition. A room dedicated to him. A cosy feeling unlike modern brash hotels. Situated in the heart of the city.

We have been coming to Plymouth quite a lot over the last few years and have wanted to stay here so this time thought we would. We were given an upgrade to a Superior room so thought that was great. It turned out we were next to the door to the car park which banged shut everytime someone went through it. It also sounded like there were children in the room above as we constantly heard running about and at 7 in the morning bouncing a ball.
I did ask reception if another room was available but was just told no. There was a couple checking in at the time I asked and heard them being given a room on the 5 floor to which the lady replied we wanted the 1st floor to which there was no response from the girl on reception she gave them the key and off they went.
It's a shame really because it is a nice hotel.

Nice sized room. Clean and well maintained. Good meal in restaurant with attentive staff. Slow checkout otherwise would have given 5 stars
