This is a beautiful green space on the outskirts of Plymouth, however it can have a lot of rubbish lying around, particularly around the outskirts, due to fly tipping. There is a main gravel / dirt path running parallel to the stream through the reserve which is suitable for wheelchairs but the upper footpaths and access to them is not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone with mobility problems due to the steepness of the paths and uneven surfaces. Situated in a natural dip in the landscape it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful despite Its proximity to main roads although there is a major development currently on the opposite side of the stream. Very popular with dog walkers so if you stray from the main path you need to watch where you are walking! The main path is usually ok but it can also be very muddy, particularly in winter, so wellies are recommended. It is very pretty in spring with the vibrant colours of the wild flowers. Not recommended at night as I don't think there is any lighting. A very popular area for meta detector enthusiasts. The space is also used by local schools learning about respect for nature and mini beast hunts!

Nice little stretch of woodland. Nothing special. Still lovely though

Beautiful place, just shame people dump their rubbish in such beautiful places

A tranquil escape from suburban life.
