At 8 o clock last night no one on the tills so had to use the scannér. No sign to say it was a card only machine and a small message on screen that I missed. I had to call an attendant 3 times as the scanner couldnt read the bar codes on discounted items. Finally I couldny pay in cash as I was on a card only machine . At this point the assistant re scanned my goods thankfully as I was about to walk out the shop and leave them. Please give customers a choice as to whether they want a shop assistant At the tills or whether they want to do their work for them. Also a big sign to say this machine takes card payments only (like they have in b and q). Also the sign saying fast lane is very misleading , as it very rarely is. Manager please take note. Quality of goods very good and the assistant very polite and helpful.

I just popped in to pick up some supplies for a Saturday night post work. Nobody ever seems to staff the tills. I got to the kiosk to be told it was closed. The staff directed me to the crappy self service thing. Needless to say I had to wait for someone to check my age and the usual bag identification thing. In the end I was so annoyed i left the shopping.
At least have one till of some sort open

Its a small asda so limited choice. Staff friendly and very helpful. Store clean and tidy consistently

As usual no difficulties finding what I wanted. Staff as always polite and helpful and offered assistance packing my goods - I am disabled due to injury and they always offer help whenever I go in store usually a couple of times per week. Can't fault them.
