I visited the store on Friday 10/4 and saw a pair of shoe boots I fell in love with - I left the shop saying I would think about it, but returned later that day to purchase said shoe boots. when I went to pay I was asked if I wanted a carrier bag which was 5p extra (bearing in mind the boots were £32). I am a disabled pensioner and carrying just a box on public transport is nie on impossible!? It would not be so bad if you were purchasing an item for a few quid. If I hadn't wanted these boots so much I would have told them what to do with the boots along with the carrier bag - sideways. The best of it is these bags are not even of superior quality (really cheap and nasty) and the assistant could see I was struggling. One thing is for sure I will never shop at this store again. It's not the 5p - it's the principal as the shoes are not cheap in there.

I visited the store today to get my 2 boys some new shoes. I wasn't happy with the service at all. Firstly while we were waiting to have there feet measured i did it myself not a problem as i used to work in a children's shoe shop but wanted to get them double checked as i hadn't done it for a number of years. A couple with there little girl had been served the lady passed the sale on to one of her colleagues to put through saying "can you put these through so i can go outside and have a quick" i knew she meant cigarette, which i didn't think was very professional. The man that she had passed them on to then came to serve us asking what size the boys feet had been last time measured. I said a 5.5 and a 7 this had been some time ago (a few months). He measured there feet at a 5.5 and a 7 on one foot & a 7.5 the other which i knew weren't right and asked him to double check which he did and gave the same sizes again after pushing my youngests feet back into the measuring gage. I myself had mearsured them at between a 6&6.5 and 8&8.5. We left and went to mothercare at merryhill to find that the sizes i'd measured them at were infact correct. I told the lady who was very helpful what we'd been told & she said we weren't the first to say there childs feet had been measured wrongly this past week there. A childs feet don't stop growing until around 18-21 years of age. Just think of the damage they could be doing to your little one's tiny feet. Let's just say we won't be recommending them or revisiting that store they all need retraining!!
