Great staff, good central location, but seriously needs an updating and modern bright lighting. Stayed here twice now 6 days in total. Try elsewhere until they pull their fingers out.

The room we stayed in was on the third floor and had a courtyard view with a Juliette balcony and was very quiet, apart from a subtle mechanical squeak every few seconds constantly, though not enough to disturb sleep. The room was very warm but was equipped with air-conditioning but we just opened the balcony doors which was nice as it was raining and the sound as it hit the glass roof of the room beneath the courtyard was enough to send us off to sleep. Would definitely recommend and if we need to stay in Birmingham again I'll definitely choose this hotel again, great for restaurants, parking and getting around the centre.

Old building with very interesting rooms. Good facilities in the room. Very beautiful building. Can be a little noisey if your overlooking the front due to city location. Great access to some fab bars.

Up Market hotel and bistro. Great atmosphere. You are made to feel special from the moment you step through the doors. The reception staff are very friendly and professional. I went to the bar first for a drink. Good range of ales and wine's also cocktails. The coffee was wonderful. Then onto the court yard for afternoon tea. American style. Great food and service. I have not stayed here but will try when I go to a concert. To summarise I feel you get the top London service at an affordable price. Must be one of Birmingham s best hotel and value for money

My fiancee and I stayed here for a night while we enjoyed some shopping. The rooms are large, clean and well decorated. The bathroom was very large, about seventy-percent the size of the bedroom/living room. The bath tubs are big and deep, and the monsoon showers are a nice touch.
The room itself was great, my only gripe is the lack of usable wall outlets near the bed. Using a laptop in need of charge is not possible without an extension lead. While spacious and attractively styled, the bathroom was let down by damage to the floor - a depression in the tiles (pot hole) near the shower as if someone had stomped out of the shower.
The location is ideal for shopping or business. The hotel located in the business distract, only a few hundred meters away from the bullring shopping centre. The staff are friendly, and professional. We didn't stay long enough to use the Spa or the restaurant.
