Needing to catch a train to London. Call TOA. 10 minutes sir. No problem. 40 minutes later it turns up. Now traffic. Nightmare. Train missed and driver asking me directions to city centre!!!!

*updated 4th nov* owner, please don't respond to me when you have zero idea of context and don't bother trying to establish what happened. Your driver would not have had to wait, I was right there at the rank. You arent the only taxi firm in the world and if everyone else manages a decent service, even in central london, but you dont- i suggest you ask your fellow industry for a step by step guide on how to function properly.
Rang to order a taxi as my company has preferential rates. Got told to use the cabs in the taxi rank at birmingham international. Not even in London do you get treated like this.
I also note that the owner writes some pretty rude comments back to whomever posts a review. Cant wait for mine.

Pre booked a taxi in a day advance which normally works out fine. But this time they didn't arrive nor did they care to tell me they weren't going to arrive.
Their call handler told me to wait 30 minutes when I had already been waiting 20 minutes.
I have missed my appointment thanks to their complete incompetence.

After waiting 35 minutes for a cab that didn’t show up I decided to go else where, complete waist of my time

I would say you get what you pay for but in our case it was cheaper :-)
We were badly let down by a local Chelmsley Wood based prepaid booked taxi firm taking us home from Birmingham International Station. After an hours failure to get our PREPAID taxi to pick us up we went to the taxi rank an got into a TOA cab. I had always believed that this was the "expensive way" to taxi but how wrong was I . The driver was courteous , professional, it felt secure, we had a quick journey and were back home in no time. Cost was cheaper than the original taxi and it was more convenient.
I will put the loss of the original fare down to my own lack of judgement in picking a reliable taxi firm, next time its TOA for me.
