Update: such a shame that the bar staff serve people in a random order and seem to be preoccupied with anything other than serving customers.
Good food, as described on the menu. Somehow this place transforms from café to restaurant to bar throughout the day and does a great job at each. A good selection of food, well presented and a good selection of hot drinks, beers, wines, spirits and cocktails at fairly sensible prices. A fail safe option.

If you want dry burger and cold fries to recover from the shock of buying expensive lager, then this is the place for you.
The Forum is a lovely bar to visit, nicely laid out, with a relatively peaceful outside drinking area.
Having paid just under £10 for two pints of Italian beer, we decided on something to eat. £12 for a double cheeseburger with fries, and choice of salad. I couldn't taste the cheese, and only the expensive beer helped me wash down the burger. The salad was some kind of slaw, and I'm sure they must throw loads of it away.
The staff were very pleasant, mind, very happy to help, but if you do go, just have a drink.

Forum had run out of a number of dishes when we went on Friday night including one of the few vegetarian dishes. There are hardly any vegetarian dishes anyway, it restricted choice even more. The food we did get was pretty good. I enjoyed my lasagne. I am told the burger was pretty average. They didn't have any of the chicken burger. The waitress was an absolute star though. Coming to discuss dish options with us and help with beer choices. I probably wouldn't go again. There are other better pub/restaurants around.
