Mr O'Connell - incredibly rude. His professional opinion of a throat disorder was that I worked in a space with a lot of people around so probably just reoccurring infection.. Second opinion with an actual Doctor at a decent practice found (very easily and quickly) that I had a cyst. This new doctor Explained what it meant and when to worry. Don't trust Mr O'Connell, he's useless and completely unhelpful. I find it very troubling that somebody so medically inept has managed to become a GP! A review mentions it's just his confidence... I don't know what he's confident about, I hope to God it's not his medical expertise! So many misdiagnosis'.

reading a lot about people unhappy with dr O'Connell which I understand, but the receptionist who acts like a doctor really gets under my skin. Will be leaving this practise soon after asking why the lead gp has never made me a referral and left me in pain for years.

misdiagnosed for over 2 years. ended up with breast cancer after doctor told me it was a cyst. DO NOT take their word for it if you have a lump, insist on being refered to hospital. Also Dr O'Connell extremely rude & an awful doctor. also misdiagnosed and ended up at the walk in centre in great pain. Doctor at walk in centre said he would complain on my behalf about Dr O'Connell. No one in my family will see him. If you don't care about patients why be a GP???

Please whatever you do don't go to Dr O'Connell especially for mental health issues - he seems to have very low self-awareness despite the fact that countless people have complained about him. Straight to the point is not the same thing as being rude. 3 Stars because I really like both Dr. Bradley's (male and female) and Dr. Thake and they are all very professional.

Dr O'Connell has been my main doc for about 17 years,yeh hes straight to the point and almost like a headteacher type person and you are the naughty child :) but i have found him to be professional and helpful at all times i think hes a Liverpudlian so that might explain it :) anyway apart from having to wait a few days for your appointment because they are always full its a great surgery and i cant fault it ......
