Booked a standard double room online for one night, when we arrived we was informed there was a problem with the system and there was no standard double beds available so would be staying in a twin room. Annoying but I understand it wasn't there fault. However this was not dealt well by the receptionist who wasn't welcoming and offered us two free drinks at the bar as compensation (I'd expect a little more for a mishaps like this but nevertheless). When redeeming the the drink I was disappointed by a flat lager. The service when checking out was much better though.
The room was surprisingly large with an equally large bathroom which was nice but the room looked outdated and the sofa in the corner needed a good clean.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Our room was absolutely spotless. Staff on reception and housekeeping were wonderful and friendly. Our room had the most incredible bed, it felt like how I can only imagine what it feels like to sleep on a cloud. This is by far the best hotel that I have ever been to!!

Staff are fantastic, very friendly, helpful and understanding. The breakfast food and eating area is also fantastic. However the hotel itself, the stairwells, the lifts and the rooms are very rundown, dirty and it just needs a lot of money put into renovating and redecorating.

Great location for a stag do, a very short (15 minute) walk to the city centre. Loads of great restaurants and bars! Hotel was fine, comfy bed and a nice shower. Not all of the lights worked, but this was only a minor inconvenience. There was also a miscommunication with the payment for the rooms and one of us was charged in advance without notice, but this was easily sorted at reception by friendly staff. Breakfast was a simple buffet, with lots to choose from! Overall a great location and a good hotel for a short weekend visit to Sheffield city.

Stayed in a recently refreshed room with plenty of space and comfortable beds. Tea facilities on hand and everything you need bathroom wise. There was a mishap with the rates quoted when I booked online and they tried asking for more on arrival, but this was very quickly resolved. Simple self serve breakfast available, hot and cold food, and this went down nicely as well!
