Dirty mattresses and in with my 9 week old son put in a room and think there have forgotten about us been there put son on less milk than normal and he's looking for more staff huddle around table talking about nothing to do with work and like there have nothing to do and treat the adults like children

This hospital is fantastic , but the pharmacy as bad as the hospital is fantastic ...!!! Mistake after Mistake, cannot read a basic prescription , and the time they take aaaaahg.

My dad went into this hospital and never came out. Due to negligence by staff he suffered horrific bed sores and left to die. I would advise anybody to stay away from this place. Hospital paid out an insulting compensation offer and the meetings I had with consultants afterwards left me feeling like a hollow shell.

Sunderland royal hospital.staff work hard.often short staff levels.generally very clean . Cleaning, staff work 24 hours cover in parts of the hospital such as emergency dept.nursing staff.medical staff 24 hrs service.xray dept 24 hrs service.24 hrs portering services.
Canteen open to public also.not 24 hrs.service Night staff need to bring own food.drink and snack machines available on all floors.
Personal experiences very good.staff polite and professional
Wheelchairs available at reception main body level .automatic doors to enter ancestors. Lifts or stairs to all floors

Used the delivery suite and post natal ward.
Staff were amazing, friendly, informative and reassuring.
Had to stay in a few days and on the second night the staff were rushed off their feet with the delivery ward spilling over into post natal and they still kept their smiles, friendliness and sense of humour.
Can't fault any of the staff at all! They were absolutely amazing.
Food isn't great but there's plenty take aways around that deliver, that's the only negative experience (That and the god awful heat but my visit was hottest weekend of the year and no one can control that lol)
