I wanted to open a new bank account and wanted to have a look around before deciding . I thought metro would be a good choice as its brand new. I went inside and it was not busy at all. No acknowledgement from the staff or that somebody would be with me shortly.

One worker stood there while me and my friend waited at the counter. After 10 minute we left and was completely ignored. Staff obviously could not care less . Terrible service

1st rate service, not rushed and ran through all account details throughly, even looked after the kids . Welcome back a company with customer service

It seems you have to pass an ineptitude test to work at a bank in England. My partner and I have recently moved to England and it seems no one wants our money as opening an account is a nightmare. We brought in our tenancy agreement as proof of address. It is from an estate agent but mentions the landlord's name. The teller wouldn't accept it as she said they only accepted agreements from agents. We said it was from an agent but the owner was a person. She repeated her false claim. I tried to clarify by asking "so you only accept it if the estate agents own the house" to which she said yes...!

After arguing or point we're decided that metro bank could join the long list of British banks that don't deserve our money. Why do people lot up with so many idiotic bureaucrats in this country?
