Only reason for 1 star is because I can't leave no stars!!!!!!!!!
Took my partner there for food tonight to end our stay in weston...... we went to smiths because it looked inviting from the outside, on arrival we found a nice little table by the window looking out towards the sea we ordered out starters and mains and a couple of drinks, waitress really sarcastic I order a larger with a lemonade top it arrived a larger and lime on ordering my second I ask again for larger with lemonade top she argues with me u mean lime no I said lemonade finally I get what I ordered.. starter arrives absolutely beautiful tasty and well presented my expectations are now sky high for mains.... our food arrives I ordered an 1/2lb Aberdeen Angus burger and a chargrilled chicken with bbq sauce both meals arrived the chargrilled chicken had a small amount of sauce with a what can only be described has a plastic slice of cheese burnt to the chicken and a 1/4lb burger so under cooked the bun was red with blood and dripping instantly turned my stomach unable to even face eating anything else..... waitress says she will take the burger off my bill no attempt of an apology or even the manager coming to see me... this is absolutely appalling I shouldn't of been charged for either meal this is no way to run a business especially being that quiet for food to be allowed to be served to customers this way it's about quality of food not speed of service I run a food establishment myself and i would not allow a chef to remain in employment if that's the standard of food delivered

I had three meals at Smiths hotel while i was on holiday in Weston & the food was very good with large portions.I have stayed there lots of times,it is a nice hotel!!!

What a lovely hotel. On arrival tea and coffee waiting for us. Staff waiting to take meal orders and give out room numbers. No need to queue for keys as in room doors waiting, what a good idea. Breakfast and evening meal quality and plentiful. Staff were efficient and attentive. Fantastic experience all round

Good hotel, we used it for a one-night stay. Got a room to the backyard. Was OK.
Excellent restaurant! Liked the beer and especially the steak. Great view over the Weston bay.
BTW Very interesting region with the Bristol channel having a high tide of partly 8 meters. ... so be careful on the beach.

This refers to the restaurant ' the waterfront bar which is exceptionally good value for money. The quality of the food and its presentation are excellent. Highly recommended.
