A great b&b for able body people, but if your disabled it's quite a different story...
My sister book they a few weeks ago,she explained that I have a disability (my walking is very poor and my balance is also not good ) She was told that ,that would not be a problem, but as they didn't have a room on the ground floor , would l manage the stairs, and she say yes with support. So we arrived on Friday eve , there where step up through the gate and then more steps up to the door. Once in we went to our room up the stairs. Which I managed. In the morning to my horror,we found out that the dining room was down more stairs,after coming from the upstairs, so that was.a bit of a challenge but l made without any problems, now I have a scooter which is the way l get about we asked if it could be charged ready to go up to St Joseph, and was told no that wouldnot be a problem, so we got back then to be told that it couldn't be done,but l could hire one just down the road, and put mine on charge there, so l asked if they had.the number so l could ring and ask if that was.ok with them, (now they said they were disable friendly, but they could not be other wise the should have that sort of detail there) so l had to pay for the hire of a scooter, and bless them at mobility hire they were very helpful and happy to put my scooter on charge. But that is not the best thing.l have a reflective disable badge on the back of the car to say that I need access to for my chair , so we come back from the wedding to put the scooter in the car ,
only to find that a 4by4 had parked parallel behind me so l could not open the back door, .as we can't get it through the gate because of the step.so , l went.in to ask if they please could move but l rang and rang no one came to help (just.as well it wasn't a fire) he did say that they didn't see the badge but he could have asked the person not to park behind me as he knew that l would have to put it away as there is no way we could put it in the dry...so if you have trouble with your legs or take yor wheel chair or.a scooter, DON'T STAY THERE. RING TOURIST INFORMATION, and they will suggest better place to stay
