From what I can remember it used to be a fantastic place for families. I visited it on 3 occasions back in the 1980s with my family (parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents). It had a superb swimming pool with a wave machine. My only criticism would be that there were no lockers in the changing areas to put your clothes while you went in the swimming pool (hence I was always relying on someone else to look after mine).

There seems to be lots going on at the Tropicana these days! Great space - last down there for Hazy Days, a fabulous local festival! Also been to the pop up theatre there, plus the Reaper Bar puts on live music nights on a regular basis. Definitely worth checking out to see what's on next!
