Good selection of beers in old Tudor style building. Nice service from American (?) Bartender too.

Since moving to York over 4 years ago, i still come to Pivni frequently. It is a tiny bit costly, but more than worth it, especially compared to other places in York. A good core selection of lagers (such as Bernard Pilsner), with a wide range of rotating drinks on tap. Lots of European beers available. Also a good range of locals, such as Yorkshire Blackout. A decent range of whiskey, such as Blatons bourbon, as well as different gins.
The building has a nice rustique atmosphere, with a retro vibe. The staff are friendly and you can have a laugh with them. Lots of my friends enjoy the place aswell.
If you're looking for more than a cheap pint of John Smiths then the is the place to come.
