The rd into site had more pot holes than the M1. We were greeted by a youth who seemed to know more about our pitch than the wardens Did!!. Plus we had taken our 9 yr old grandson who was looking forward to a little bit of trick or treat only to be told they had done it on the thursday( we arrived on Friday). Thought Saturday would be ok but nothing doing. Apparently when talked to friends who were staying at other sites in York area they had there's on Saturday night.
The toilet block needs up dating. Cracked tiles in the showers. My wife said the women's was disappointing toilet roll all over the floor and water everywhere. Hand basins dirty and cracked tiles.
Only plus point was the warden who helped with our electrics.

One of our favourite sites - loads to do in the area too. Just had a great stay of 7 nights. Friendly wardens and we enjoyed a fabulous Halloween party.

Excellent site and only 10 mins by car to park and ride to go into York which is then 10 mins on bus, also make sure you visit the Fox Inn at Stockton on the forest for a meal it's gorgeous home cooked food we will definitely be returning

A well laid out site, mostly flat, toilet block is good. However, position of the site in York is not good if you don't have a car. So motorhome owners will find it difficult to get a bus to York centre and the roads are terrible for cyclists despite having a number of cycle lanes around the town.

We had a great time. Relaxed environment with a good play ground and dog walking area. The easy access to park and ride into york made a fun day trip.
