Came to York for our anniversary on the face of it everything looked ok. Staff friendly and welcoming, room clean just what we needed. Went into York for the afternoon had a lovely time. Came back to the ibis at night and went to bed.
We were awaken at about 12.30 by lots of noise from other rooms and in the corridor, people running up and down naked, we asked them to keep noise down and stop fooling around to which they started chanting and mocking us. By2am we’d had enough and contacted the reception who didn’t seem interested. We had to gather our things together to leave. We went to reception and told him we were leaving due to what was going on and wanted our money back. The man on reception didn’t apologise he just said ok and just asked for my card like it happens every night. We then had to start the drive home in the middle of the night.

It's an Ibis hotel. Cheap clean and cheerful. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit small but was tidy. The location was good as it is 5 minutes from the station and 15 minutes away from the old town centre. One could order food to the room 24/7 from the hotel's restaurant, however, there was no menu in the room. Parking is £7 per day.

Well placed for the centre of town and the railway station Friendly staff, clean simple rooms, food menu could be better/more extensive (but to be honest there are plenty places to eat in the centre of town plus take aways right next door.
