On arrival I went to the Gents toilet and the urinal traps looked shabby along with the laminate below them. There also seemed to be lots of bottles and glasses outside from the night before which hadn't been cleared away. The room was OK but the separate toilet seems old by todays standards. I would prefer one bigger bathroom which included a toilet. The pregnant lady on reception was extremely pleasant and the pool was a nice facility to use with my children. The reception area and dining facilities were very good.

Stayed for 2 nights family room and very impressed. Reception area and bar very modern, service excellent.All the staff were very polite and professional always happy to help and service with a smile.
Food excellent.We ordered late one evening and just wanted snacks..as the restaurant was busy and we had to wait for a table we were offered complimentary drinks. Breakfast very impressive good selection and very good coffee.
Lots of gadgets for tbe children to play with and the pool fantastic.
We have not stayed here before but with its easy access to the attractions definitely would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

My room was quite nice for the price with a safe and a refrigerator. The location of the hotel was within easy walking distance of York's major attractions and just around the corner from a city bus stop. The continental breakfast was quite good and the hotel's restaurant even better. I liked the staff quite a lot. They were very helpful and friendly. If I would change anything I would make vending machines available for the guests as well as laundry facilities such as washers and dryers.

We enjoyed the very comfortable beds - and the way the sofa bed opens up to have two individual beds is brilliant too.
Kids got a free toy which is a lovely touch . The kids play area was really good even though our kids were older.
Breakfast was great and the staff there were so friendly. Pool was good to have although small.
On the downsides - there were limited amenities in the room ( such as no shower cap or body lotion ) and the welcome when we arrived could have been friendlier. We had a very disturbed night with the wind whistling through the window one night but it was a very windy night.
But overall we would highly recommend this place to others.

Spacious, clean accommodation. Very comfortable bed and quiet room as requested. Enjoyed use of the pool which was clean and had it to ourselves. Breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant were excellent and great value for money. Every member of staff we met in the hotel was friendly and helpful.
Had a wonderful stay and couldn't fault the hotel. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.
