Majority of the room and surroundings where bright,clean and modern.The staff were superb and helpful,my only gripe was the shower being temperamental But perfect location for visiting York

Standard room but clean. Bathroom could do with updating but fine for the price. Receptionist were polite and helpful.

Would not recommend staying here.
Rooms are date, smell foosty and cleanliness could be better.
Worse still was the noise outside. The room overlooked a courtyard of the pub next door. Every night the noise of drunken carry-on was horrendous. A call to reception made no difference.
Room was really hot too. Opening the window wasn't an option with the noise. Staff did leave a note in the room saying "Welcome to British Summertime." Explaining this made the rooms very hot and to keep the curtains closed. I feel air conditioning would be a better investment.
Wish I'd paid a little more and stayed elsewhere.
Oh and £1.90 for a small bottle of water? Really?

Really friendly staff. Good basic Travelodge, in a fantastic location. Bathroom needed a bit of a scrub and the room could get noisy if there's lots of people in the beer garden below.

Got a view overlooking The Rover Foss. Really nice rooms here. The bathroom lock was broken but not a huge deal in a room for 2 people. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were accommodating. Couldnt ask for more for the price.
