Kathy welcomed me into One Mindful Yoga with warmth and compassion. She has a lovely nature and makes everyone feel welcome and yet she is also very knowledgeable and informative. I was a newly qualified yoga and Kathy took the time to share her experiences and practice with me which I was very grateful for. Whether you are a beginner or a experienced yogi Kathy has a space for you at One Mindful Yoga. I highly recommend Kathy and One Mindful Yoga to all, the best yoga experience I have had in York by far.

I've had a few yoga teachers over the years and Kathy has been one of the best. The classes are well paced, well explained, and I can feel my progress over time. Kathy's teaching incorporates elements of mindfulness, and encourages students to foster awareness on a spiritual as well as a physical level.

I had never done yoga before I joined One Mindful Yoga. I wanted to find something that would help me relax and stretch out my bad back but was really nervous about yoga as I am not naturally flexible. I now look forward to my class each week! Kathy tailors every move to your ability and you learn so much about your body and how you can train yourself to move and think differently. I couldn't recommend these classes more for anyone who wants to do something that will improve the way they feel!

When I went to my first class with Kathy a few weeks ago (beginners class) I didn't know what to expect. I had never tried yoga before and wondered it it would be too difficult for me. I was looking for something to help with the stresses of modern life. Kathy put me at ease straight away. She is lovely, kind and passionate about her work. She eases you in gently and if there's a pose that you struggle with she always gives an easier alternative so that everyone in the class can join in. What I really love is how Kathy incorporates mindfulness and relaxation into the class and always explains why we do the things that we do in class. I come out of class feeling so relaxed and recharged and looking forward to the next one.

Kathy provided a workshop on physical grounding techniques for the mental health team I work with. This was to give us practical tools to use with clients and of course pivotal for ourselves! I felt the focus on physical grounding would be very beneficial for people who's minds in that specific moment are too 'busy' and racing to engage with other mindfulness techniques. Of course, in Kathy's usual style, the workshop was interactive, fun and very informative. Well on her way to becoming a specialist mental health yoga therapist!
