Recently done up, combined with the brilliant selection of beers and fairly good food you would be hard pressed to find a nicer place to spend a boozy afternoon.

Recently refurbished, good selection of ales and lagers. For York this is a very expensive pub to drink in.

Very friendly staff. Enjoyable food. Good for casual meal when visiting the Shambles.

During the day it is quiet. Good range of drinks. A bit outdated with regards to furniture. Small TVs....no sky channels ...etc. Food portions on small side but nice.
