Went for the sunday roast. The food was not a small nor overly large portion. Mine was lovely. I had a trio of meat. My friend had a mahoosive amount of fat on her Sunday roast. She had beef only. She left what was most of the meat. That was a disappointment. Another friend had the vegetarian roast and said it was gorgeous. This was a mushroom and butternut squash pie. Lovely surroundings. Comfortable. Busy. I didn't like that the lamb on a Sunday dinner had run out by 13:30 On a Sunday. This was poor as I'd scouted the menus online and decided on this before I went!

Food was good. Bar service nice and relaxed. Table service non existent, although food was speedy and empty plates collected quickly.

Appeared to be understaffed. Place wasn't very busy but there were many tables filled with plates and glasses from previous party's. Felt like an age before the food arrived. That said it was a nice place. Food was good. Staff were friendly.

Very nice place, good drink and food. Lots of choices.
Way too hot when they have the fires on, might want plan that a bit better when it's full of people.

This place is an old English cottage with old English charm.
They have a large selection of Cask-Beer and a large selection of beers on tap.
The food is cooked to order so it does not sit under a heat lamp.
The chips are some of the best I have eaten and the Hunters Chicken was fantastic.
