Good gym with some great classes and staff members, however customer service is very disappointing. Join the gym for 3 months contract, without any notice that we have to cancel membership straight away if we don't wish to stay another 3 months. Overall, there are many better places in York, at least with a much more helpful and client oriented customer service.

A well appointed gym with great facilities and pleasant staff. Customer Service could be improved. Watch out if you join up on a special offer membership price. Our membership fees went up after 12 months. There is also a 3 month cancellation notice period. Although these were apparently explained at the time of joining there was no reminder that we were approaching this date. Had we known we would have given notice 3 months before our contract date. A simple email would have resulted in us not being effectively tied into a 15 month membership. Having spoke to Anthony he has said that he will bring this up with the GM.
On the whole though I have enjoyed my time with Roko but the experience has been soured by some poor customer service.

You get what you pay for here. Yes it's a tad on the expensive side but it's a great gym. Facilities are brilliant, the pool is usually quiet enough for a swim and the staff are very friendly. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it could do with longer opening hours and somewhere to put the kids on an evening when I want to work out.

A good all round gym. Polite staff, good equipment but could do with a few more specialised machines. To the idiots who give this a one star I suggest you have a word with your self and leave because you're the type of people no gym wants on their premises. Second best gym in York only beaten by David Lloyd which is astronomical in price. Highly recommend.

I've been a member for the last few years. In that time the customer service and standard of equipment has dropped drastically. I will not be renewing my membership. There are plenty of other gyms to choice from in York.
