Normally good service......tonight an absolute joke!!!! Office staff didn't have a clue drive rude and totally unprofessional!!!!

If I could give this company less than 1 stars I would.
I checked on the website and it said that card payments were welcome as at the time that was the only form of payment I had available. I booked a taxi the night before for 9am the next morning, the taxi arrived (15 minutes late), and upon arrival I mentioned that I was paying by card and the driver completely flipped out saying that his card reader was not working and that he was unable to take payment, I explained that I’d seen on the website that I was able to make card payments, and that when booking my taxi no one asked how I would be paying so I didn’t think it was a problem. We arrived at the designer outlet where I work, and he pulled into a parking space and said “right, I am getting out with you and we are going to find a card machine so you can pay me”. Obviously being a young girl I felt very uncomfortable about how he was acting. He stormed into the centre with me in tow, effing and blinding at his phone, and then proceeding to turn to me and swear at me also. Bare in mind I was also 15 minutes late to my job at this point. We then walked to where he assumed a card machine would be even after I told him there was only one in the whole outlet, and he turned to me and said “I will be back at your flats tonight waiting for you, and you best have the money to pay for this taxi”. Obviously after the whole ordeal I was somewhat terrified and felt extremely uncomfortable, especially about having to see this man again. I then got to work 25 minutes late, explained to my colleagues what had happened and had to sit down as I felt so shaky, I suffer with anxiety very badly. I then called the company back and explained that I was fine to pay the fee for the taxi but that I was not comfortable with this man coming back to my home, and after explaining what had happened the lady on the phone agreed that he was out of order, she then told me their manager would be calling me later on in the day to give me an apology. I have never received any phone call, and will NEVER use this service again.

Really poor service. 15 mins late and didn't apologise. Did not park anywhere near the door and didn't get out to help with bags despite the fact that my mother had a broken elbow and was clearly struggling. Would not book again. Caused way to much stress and upset

The taxi I booked to take us from Heworth to a wedding reception yesterday at Merchant Adventurer's Hall arrived bang on time. More to the point, our friendly driver appeared later on in the evening at the venue to return my front door key, which had fallen unnoticed out of my small evening bag as I dug down for his fare and which he had found on the floor of the taxi! My deep thanks to him for his honesty and this thoughtful act. That's what I call real customer service!
