Gave us great advice, and. Pointed us to a free 3 hr walking tour of York and it was excellent.

Very helpful friendly staff, and the York pass is worth getting if you plan on spending a few days going to various attractions.

A very useful place to visit before exploring York. The York pass is convenient as it includes all of the attractions (including the tour bus and boat trip) and makes great savings as long as you visit lots of places

Yesterday (around 11.30AM) I visited this Touristic Information office. There were a male and a female attending the visitors. I requested her some information about Viking Road. As I am not a native-english speaker (but I'm currently living in the UK), seems I was not able to pronounce properly the word “Viking”. She made an strong effort to answer my question, she was very kind. Unfortunately, the man who was there wasn’t and requested me “to speak English”. He was a very rude and a non-polite person. Is the first time I have a problem like this in the UK.
