Dear management, please bring goose island Sofie back. Other than myself I witness at least two people who tried to order Sofi. Good place to grab a beer and food. People seem to be nice and friendly. I enjoyed the stacked eggplant. Beer could be from ~$5. They used to offer Goose Island Sofie but they stopped as of 2017 10 19.

The Hollow is a great downtown restaurant with a creative menu. It has a rustic decor reflecting the character of its historic building. In the evenings on weekends it turns into a concert venue with live rock. It has been known to get pretty crowded late in the evening.

Went there for dinner and a concert with my boyfriend. Interesting, delicious food with lots of different options including vegan and vegetarian. Their beer selection is great and it's cool to enjoy the atmosphere of the historic building and people watch next to Pearl St. This place has a very hip vibe without being snooty.
We ate in the right hand section, then moved to the left for the concert. This section also has a bar like the restaurant half, a pinball machine, and a shelf lining the room for people to sit down and relax with their drinks.
The venue is historic (aka cramped) so if you're there for a show, get there early to snag precious wall-shelf space like we did. Or you're likely to be smushed in the middle with the crowd.
Great food and drink, great atmosphere, and a variety of good concerts throughout the year. Part of the larger growing movement of trendy, hipster hotspots in Albany.

Great food! Fast service! The brisket burger was fantastic and the hollow burger outstanding! I will definitely re turn.

Parking can be a challenge, but we found a pay lot almost directly across the street.
Great food and service. Curtis was our waiter, and he was personable and very attentive. The food was excellent; good portion sizes and we didn't have to wait long.
Beer & wine menu was huge; tons of draft, bottle, and can choices. Definitely a do-over!
