I have never had what I would call a good and thorough cleaning. For being more expensive than most in the area, you would think that the quality of the clean would be more extensive. When I told them I found out my insurance dropped me because I received my degree and was not a full time student any longer, they billed me for the cancellation of the appointment that I was calling about. Do Not Go Here.

I had a great experience here. The first dentist that i wasn't apprehensive with. The staff is great too.

We had the best experience here. His staff is wonderful. My 12 yr old daughter is very anxious when it comes to dentist because of a poor experience else where. The staff here was very welcoming. They explained each and every step to her in a way that she could understand and checked in with her often to make sure she was ok.

Comfort Dental in North/East Greenbush ran by Steven Kosoff is a pro at practicing dental malpractice! Every time I have gone, I have been told that I needed crowns. I have taken his advice (thought he was a professional) and let him do one, but then he said that I need another, I let him do that one as well. The second crown wasn't sealed entirely ( cemented entirely all the way around) and now my tooth has to be pulled due to the rotting that has now occurred because of it. I told the woman who put it in that it's not entirely sealed, that I can feel my spit going up under it, and she told me that's "normal". I didn't get that feeling with the first one, and if spit can get inside of it, then so can bacteria, again, more medical malpractice. The dentist doesn't do the installments of the crowns, the fillings, etc. All he does is drills the holes, or files the teeth into tiny little stumps for the crowns, etc, and makes the assistants do the rest of the work. Only if there is a complication, bite issues, etc, will he come back in to do the work, but you must wait for him to finish doing whatever he is doing, so if you need to see him, you must wait however long in your chair for him to come in, could be 10 minutes, or 30 minutes, who knows! Then he said I needed to have a 3rd crown and that's when I put the breaks to it. Same thing happened to my sister and to my father, the dentist told them that they needed to have multiple crowns as well. They have both stopped coming here as well, because of the malpractice. I think 90% of the crowns he's performing on people truly don't even need to have them done so when you are told that you need one, I advise that you take very strong caution, and go get a second opinion. Anything he says to you, take it with a grain of salt. The 3rd crown he told me I needed was on a sensitive tooth and he said the only way to fix it was to put a crown on it! Of course! Well, I took it somewhere else, the new guy fixed it with some kind of desensitizing agent in a filling and I have not had a problem with it ever since! That ended up saving money, time and most importantly, my tooth! Clearly this comfort dental dentist is the king of crowns. Why? Because there's more money in it for him, and those I have to pay out of pocket because insurance doesn't cover them. On top of that, he actually filed my tooth above the second crown to make the bite fit! (that's when I truly realized he's into practicing medical malpractice), instead of sending the crown back, he filed my perfectly good and real tooth down! If you do choose to have him do any kind of work on your teeth, VIDEO TAPE IT, from start to finish, each and every time. He lied about grinding down my tooth, and said he would never do such a thing, that he would only grind a filling... (first off, I can feel it, and secondly, you can see it!). Well, I took my Xrays from the day that he grinded down my tooth, which were taken before the grinding, to another dentist and the dentist confirmed that my actual tooth had been filed down. He said it certainly had been because the only other way would have been as if Im a grinder, and if I were, my other teeth around it would have shown signs of grinding and they don't. I'm not a tooth grinder, I never have been. This dentist is VERY unprofessional and he shouldn't even be allowed to hold a license to practice. The dental assistants/hygienists own kids, nor themselves even go here, which that too speaks volumes and is certainly a red flag! I would only go here for a cleaning and that is ALL! If you care about your teeth, take them somewhere else. If you don't, you're simply retarded. They should change their name to discomfort dental. It's more fitting.

This dentist is the meanest snob I've ever come across. He determined I needed a root canal in a perfectly good tooth. He they swung the drill in front of my face zizzing it to scare me and he knew I was afraid of drills. He also told me that to replace a crown he had to cut off the old crown with a mini chain saw. He is the rottenest meanest person I've ever met.
