Typically I don't write restaurant reviews, but I do review them to get a sense of other people's experience.
However, I decided to write this review because hands down the food was so horrible and the manager's response to my complaint was even worse.
It's been several years since we've ate at Kinaree. The food and service were always pleasant, so naturally I assumed I would have the same experience. Sadly, I was WRONG! I ordered a to go order of drunken noodles with chicken and requested that steamed broccoli be included. I should have trusted my instincts the moment I walked in the door to turn around and walk out. At 7:30PM on a Saturday evening only two guests were dining in...and as I approached the counter, my eyes noticed that the place looked dingy and unkept. A few tables were dirty with food and no table was set with dinnerware, flowers or basic condiments. It's as if they had no expectation that folks would be coming to the restaurant.
The order of noodles with rice came to $16. As I was walking out, the server called me back because the chef forgot to include the broccoli.
Once I got home 30 minutes later, i was shocked when I opened the bag. My food container was a thin recycled paper container lined with aluminum foil to prevent the food from falling through the container (didn't work!), there were 3 small slices of chicken accompanied by large chunks/slices of veggies and huge lasagna pasta that was over cooked to the point that it was mush. I was starving and decided to suck it up and try to eat some veggies and the chicken, only to find they were rubbery and bland but drenched in pepper.
After mulling it over, I decided that everything was so horrible with this experience that I wouldn't and couldn't let it go. The lovely server was apologetic and offered me another meal, which I politely declined , having concluded that I would NEVER eat a meal here again or refer it to others. I asked to speak to the manager and requested a refund of my hard earned cash. Ten minutes later, the manager never came out to apologize etc. The waitress was clearly embarrassed...but said the manager would not offer a refund or come and speak to me. This employee then proceeds to take her own money to try to fix the situation. Shocked, I refused, saying it was wrong and the manager should be ashamed. The lovely server would not accept the money back despite my insistence. As I walked out I was resigned to the fact that this restaurant will inevitably has its days limited and will not experience success unless they make some drastic changes to the quality of food, improve the dining experience and learn to value their customers.

The food is really goodand the price is reasonable. The host is nice. In conclusion, this the best place for Thai food in Albany.

I LOVE the food here and typically the service. I've been here more than 10 times but my experience today was not a good one. I invited my best friend and her sister who have never tried Korean food and was excited to share with them. I ordered my usual bulgogi but wasn't told until after I tried to order 2 separate choices there was no beef at all. Found something else, but my friend was brought an incorrect dish and was still charged for it, even though she didn't eat it. We also had to ask for straws and napkins 3 times before we got them, and there were only 2 other people dining at the time. I was so disappointed, never had an experience like this at Kinnaree before, my friends don't want to come back :(

Food was great timely and not expensive. Restrooms not the cleanest.

Everything we had was delicious. We had soup, meaty mussels with green sauce, drunken noodles with chicken, and noodles with yellow curry powder and shrimp. And no trip to a Thai restaurant is complete without Thai iced tea. The restaurant offers varying levels of spice, on a 1 to 5 scale, and their spiciest is definitely only for people with a high tolerance and regular consumption of spicy food. The service was great, the flavors were everything you expect from delicious Thai food, and everything was reasonably priced. We rolled the dice on a day trip to Albany and were not disappointed.
