Awesome all-around vet service. The most reasonably-priced we've found in Albuquerque; the vets and staff here are compassionate, competent, and comprehensive in their care. Dr. Conley is a smart, caring, and friendly vet who really knows her stuff. We have been taking our dogs and cat here for years. You won't find a better place to take your pet.

NOT recommended I arrived 10 minutes early as asked, it being my first visit to this clinic. We were finally called in 45 minutes late. The diagnosis I was given was my cat had some fleas on his left eyelid. The doctor applied an over the counter medication between his shoulder blades at a cost of more than a 100% mark up. I was told the fleas, "Will be falling out before you get home." When I called the next day I was interrogated by a staff member "Amber," who gave me the impression the day earlier that she would rather torture puppies than help them heal. When finally allowed to speak with the doctor I was told my cat may be being reinfected, but when I inquired why are the fleas which never appeared to leave the one eye, only reinfecting the one eye, I was told simply, "I don't know" and that it may take a week for the medication to work, seemingly completely unconcerned that my cat would have to live with fleas on his eyelid for the continuing future. I patiently waited a week and a couple of days and called back again, explaining that the fleas were still present. "Rita" called back and again suggested the eyelid was being reinfected, but when I asked again why only the one eyelid was being reinfected, again was told, "I don't know." I was instructed to bring my cat back in for a "Follow-up exam" for which I would only be charged a "Minimal fee."

The care at Sandia animal clinic is definitely exceptional but one of the girls they have answering the phones does not ever seem to know what she's doing. She scheduled my animal for putting him down and getting shaved instead of a sedate and shave like I had had done before. She couldn't seem to understand I had been there last year and had the same thing done to my kitty. Thankfully the mis-communication was cleared up before something serious happened. Next I had called a day prior to my cats appointment and asked for an estimate on how much it would all cost. Someone else was helping me pay for it so we needed some kind of estimate. The girl had no clue how to help me, took my phone number and said someone would call me back soon. Well it's almost been 4 hours and still no call back. Luckily I had the receipt from the last time I took my kittie for the same thing and was able to figure it all out that way. I really hope that girl is able to get it together soon because it's getting extraordinarily irritating dealing with someone who doesn't seem to have much of a clue. I know being new can be difficult BUT how long can being new be excuse ??

Love the clinic and the staff. Dr Conley is the best vet I've ever taken my animals to!! Nice to see a vet who cares so much about her patients and their owners. Have recommended her to all friends and family as well as any of you reading this!
