Most beautiful hotel I have ever seen! Very high class! Fitness gym. Coffee room. Ballrooms. World War 2 mini museum. Grand staircase. Historic hotel. Priced not too high either. Pleasant & helpful staff. Loved it! Definetly going back.

Cool old hotel with OK dining room in lower level.
This was my second visit. The first time I had great service. This time, not so much.
The plate was scalding, but the omelet was over cooked and just luke warm. The cheese wasn't even melted.
The coffee was OK. I waited patiently and finally asked the next table's waiter for a refill.
However, the French fries were great.

Room was in the corner and particularly small for a Hotel of this distinction. The room was very plain with no decorations at all. The nicest part about the room was the comfortable bed and linens. I am struggling between three and four stars. The restaurant was beautiful and held the historic feel I was searching for. Overall I am pleased but not as happy as expected.

I think this renovation is a great thing for Alexandria. They did a great job. But I have to be honest about the restaurant. I went when it first opened and thought that it was just fine. Last Saturday I went with friends and was very disappointed. My wife and I were hit with a gratuity on our check. We all payed separate checks. The food was not good or had any passion applied to it. The place had no atmosphere or excitement about it whatsoever. I could see the corners being cut in the food from then and now. Will not eat there again. So sorry. Too much money and sweat has been put into that building to settle for that very mediocre food.
