Buyers Beware (Arlington Motorsports) Extremely Unprofessional

WOW! I knew customer service was slipping in many of our businesses in America but my experience at Arlington Motorsports pushed the bar below abyss depth! Robert, Wayne and (Dan from an observation point) approach to customer service was horrible. There is no empathy, sense of urgency, understanding, willingness to work with the customer or no amiable resolution tactic existed.
I had a fender binder on my motorcycle nothing serious where I did not even hit the ground. Someone just backed up and cracked by front fairing and it took Arlington motorsports one month to get the parts and repair my motorcycle. I thought because I purchased the bike there I would be entitled to some type of preferred customer respect; boy was I wrong! They kept insisting I come to the dealership (Arlington motorsports) prior to the work being done or even being started to endorse the checks they received from the insurance company. Once I refused because my experiences with repairs, the work is completed first before payment is made. Because I refused my service was put on the back burner to simmer I guess. I called once a week sometimes twice a week and they kept telling me they were waiting on parts. After the initial parts came in they started the work and noticed another fairing was cracked so they submitted an addendum to the estimate.
This resulted in additional delays waiting for the parts. One month later and after several inquiries they called for delivery of my motorcycle. Upon arriving at Arlington motorsports ready to finally get my bike there was a discrepancy with the work order and the amount was incorrect. I had additional work done (replaced the chain and replaced the rear sprocket) which the work was pre-approved for $471.00. Because they did not properly file the claim there was a difference of $137.00 which I was told I had to pay if I wanted to get my bike. I suggested they resubmit the difference with the insurance company and I would come back and sign it once completed.
Bottom line: I was high-balled by Arlington motorsports to pay the amount because they had what I wanted and of course a biker will pay to ride.
Very unprofessional to a repeat customer! Never again, so buyers beware!
They said this is a family business, maybe I wasn’t part of the Arlington motorsport family!

Walked in to look around for a new helmet and was given the best customer service that I have ever had. They had me try on different helmets to find my size, showed me the difference in brands and how they fit my head. I will definitely be back again.

AVOID THIS STORE/SHOP:
Wayne (manager of the mechanics) and Robert (store manager )where in a word unprofessional.

I took my dirt bike in for a standard top end rebuild. I told them exactly what was wrong with the bike and what I needed done. (no diagnostic needed) They quoted me 1200 for the job saying that is normal. Called two other shops, SMS Racing and Cycle Center of denton, and both significantly less that this rip off. One said $800 total (parts and labor) the other said $850. I told them they were price gouging and I will be taking my business else where. They proceeded to charge me $120 for the "diagnostic". I told them specifically what it would need before they touched it. Refusing to let me take my bike without paying the fee. This place is a rip off. The mechanic had no idea what he was doing. The last time he had worked on a top end was "two years ago on a yz 450". This was confirmed in their system.

Save your self the pain and money and take it to a different shop. It's bad enough to get ripped off, but the incompetence of the mechanic (Wayne) could lead to deadly injury. The other two store listed above are much more knowledgeable, and have significantly better customer service.
