The ONLY reason I tried this place was due to the number of good reviews. I’m left pretty disappointed and scratching my head wondering if any of the reviewers have ever had a decent Thai meal in their life! I ordered the spicy beef salad and pad Thai. The salad was not even as described on the menu. The beef was chewy and the thought of “is this even beef” did cross my mind. It had a plethora of random ingredients thrown in not common for spicy beef salad- raw bell pepper slices, huge chunks of raw carrots, baby corn and so many gigantic chunks of every variation of onion it dominated the dish. After picking through all the extra unexpected ingredients I found TWO slices of cucumber and one large piece of wilted lettuce that everything was plated on top of.
Spicy beef salad is SUPPOSED to be thinly sliced beef with red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and a chili lime dressing atop a bed of lettuce. Their menu read the same as what I just described I got something entirely different and was very disappointed.
The pad Thai was so-so. It lacked any flavor at all was very bland and seemed to be thrown full of bean sprouts to bulk it up instead of actual noodles.
I wanted to find something closer to my new home but will most definitely stick with the gem I found when I first moved here, Thai House on Cooper. There is ZERO comparison AND it’s cheaper! I spent $23 on a disorganized onion dominant salad and pad Thai made mostly from bean sprouts. For that I could’ve gotten the crispy spring rolls, fried rice or pad Thai and sticky mango rice dessert at Thai House.
Basically- this place sucks and I’m absolutely clueless on how it’s so well reviewed, like blown away.

The waiter (usually there during lunch time) is great and amazingly fast. The food is so good and the atmosphere is so cozy. I enjoy this place every time!

Great food and really cool ambience. It's hard to find but once you do you are in for a treat. The pad see ew and pad Thai were both awesome. The chef even came out to ask us how our food was. The wait staff were friendly and helpful as well.

My husband and I have been here 2 times. I wish we had known about Taste of Thai sooner. The food is amazing. The portions are large and the service has been great. On our latest visit our baby cried out as she was getting hungry especially after seeing our food arrive. Upon hearing her, the owner Michael came out from the kitchen to visit her and make very pleasant conversation with us. After a few attempts to eat my food while feeding our little one, Michael showed up again and fed her so that I could enjoy my meal while it was still hot. What a very wonderful thing to do. Great guy and my husband and I wish him the greatest success.

My absolute favorite local Thai spot. Over time I've brought probably a dozen friends, family, and co-workers here and ordered most of the veg dishes off the menu, and there hasn't been a single thing I haven't enjoyed. My particular favorites are the green curry (all the curries are delicious) and the eggplant, while my boyfriend prefers the red curry and Pad See Ew, and several friends rave about the duck dishes. The price is right, too, particularly for the lunch specials, which come in perfectly satisfying portions with a soup or salad and spring roll.
The owners, Nina and Michael, run a tight ship - friendly staff, great food bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. They run a hopping lunch hour, though, so it's generally a good idea to get there before noon - not that they'll keep you waiting, you'll just get a quieter experience. The place is small, but well configured to accommodate the bustle, even at peak hours. In the evenings it slows down and becomes a nice, cozy spot for a date or a dinner where you'll be able to hear yourself think.
A note about spice levels: their standard spice scale is from 1-5, but that's very conservative. I generally order my dishes at a 10, and Thai hot is closer to 13 or 15. If you're feeling brave or know that you can handle the heat, don't be shy about going outside the lines.
I just wish they had a loyalty program so I could sign up for it. :-)
