Garlic Thai is absolutely gross. I worked here for one week only to find the owners Tee(hostess) and Chi(cook) were recycling the ornamental carrots placed on the plates. They expected employees to take the ornamental carrots that weren't eaten off of the dirty dishes to be reused again. Yes that carrot in the picture above was soaking in a bucket of water in the dish pit all night just to be put back on to someone else's plate the next day. Not only are they cheap and disgusting, they treat their employees horribly. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL BE SICK!! Who knows what else they are recycling in the kitchen.

Awesome food competitive prices definately try the garlic roll it sounds odd but it's really great like everything here

I read about Garlic in a Decatur blog and my husband and I tried it out last Friday night. It was delicious. We sampled the potsticker appetizer, the spicy tuna roll $1 sushi menu, the masaman curry and the basil stir fry. Everything tasted fresh. The service was quick and courteous. After dinner we walked next door to sample the new snoball place and while there, the owner of Garlic came over to bring us our take away boxes that we had forgotten. This is a great addition to the Decatur dining scene!

Garlic passed the pad thai and green curry test--both dishes were excellent, and the portions were generous so I got several meals out of my takeout. The restaurant is nice with outdoor seating available and the staff were courteous and efficient. Prices are similar to others in the area, about $10 an entree for dinner.

With so many thai and sushi places in Decatur, it's hard to find a stand-out favorite. However, my experience at Garlic last night definitely put it on the radar. They had two-for-one handroll specials, which were delicious. The sushi we ordered was super fresh and elegantly presented. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. Our bill was less than you'd see at most sushi places, thanks to the special! The thai dishes looked appetizing, and will be the next items to try on the menu. Definitely will go back - the outdoor seating is a major plus!! 4.5 stars
