My friend and I were staying at the Ramada for Dragoncon. It was late at night and we didn't have the option to travel, and I decided to treat my friend to dinner since we haven't seen each other in three years.

I ended up spending 42 dollars on extremely overpriced, distasteful food. I got a hamburger (the 'Capital burger') and my friend got the shrimp alfredo. I also bought an order of mozzarella sticks to share.

I spent ten dollars for five weirdly off tasting cheese sticks served with bizarrely dark colored but flavorless marinara sauce. That's two dollars per cheese stick. For the price I had paid, I expected a large serving that I could share with my friend, but I guess that turned out in the end because neither of us actually wanted to eat them after tasting the first one. I get a better deal both in price and flavour at fast food locations.

The hamburger, while not cold in the middle, was very rare and a bit watery (not bloody, watery. I suspect it was a frozen patty). My friend's pasta dish was made with what tasted and felt like (texture wise) frozen shrimp. The fries that accompanied my burger were extremely basic and unsalted, and because they had cooled by the time I got them, the salt they provided wouldn't stick to them. The thing I enjoyed the most from my meal was the pickle spear.

We were both extremely disappointed, and for the amount I paid for the meal, I could have gotten something that was actually nice somewhere else. Even the food at the Peachtree foodcourt was better.
