Banfield is a bit of a scam. The way they get you is by charging 2x the rate of other vets and shelters for medicine, spay/neuter operations, etc. For the annual cost of spending money on their plans, you could easily invest in seeing a better vet or perhaps pet insurance.

TERRIBLE!!! NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! They are manipulative, uneducated, & money-hungry. They do not care about animals & are just trying to take your money & overcharge you for everything. They won't even approve pet prescriptions when they have the pet's medical records. Read the reviews, this place is a scam!!!

I had a puppy from a shelter and she had demodex. The vet was 5 minutes or less with my dog, his assistant came out with a treatment option that I did not wanted on my dog (amitraz dip) only recommended in a generalized condition and not in puppies because is too toxic. I asked several times for another treatment option and she refuses to offer another or to ask the vet.
The next day after a bad review and a complain with the manager they offer another treatment option.
The one they offer was the most expensive one and fluralaner, the one I got at the end (best one for my pet) was not sold by them, that's why they don't recommend it

I friggin love Dr. Riley. My dog is old and is now completely blind but I always feel like he is in good hands with Dr. Riley. He even returns my phone calls and lets me annoy him to ask questions about my pet.The front desk staff is always pleasant as well. The wellness plan works well for me. I can only say good things about this place.
