The lady that helped me was not customer friendly. she asked me to go get the car seats from the car or else she wouldn't check me out. I did not put them in the car in the first place! she was not polite and should not be representing a reputable company like Avis.

Great car rental place. The only place I could find in the Augusta area that had unlimited miles on its rental vehicles. I had two issues. Whoever opens the business was not there at 0800 and if you arrive after hours there is no where that I could find to drop off the keys.

We have family in Augusta, and while visiting we borrowed one of their vehicles, but needed one to get back to Atlanta to fly home as my brother left on his honeymoon before we flew out.

I'll begin with the fact I walked in and there was no one to be found. Waited about 5-10 minutes and someone finally arrived. The ONLY guy working was helping another customer. I figure OK, no big deal, he'll finish up with them then help me. I sent my girlfriend back to the house to finish getting everything ready to go so we could load up and leave as soon as I returned. An HOUR later I finally left with the car. But that's not all. At no point did the guy ask me if what he was giving me was going to work. I rented the class including a Ford Focus or similar. In my experience this would have had plenty of room in the trunk for our two bags and stroller, as well as our two kids in the back seat for the 2.5-3 hour drive to the Atlanta airport. He put me in a Ford Fiesta hatchback, a car class size smaller than what I reserved. Because he took so long I didn't have the time to argue it with him and just hoped we'd be able to fit everything. We barely fit everything in the car and had to put one of the suitcases in the backseat with our two children. That was fun for the 2.5-3 hour drive with the almost two year old pushing it over on top of my daughter the last hour of the drive. Oh but that's not even all yet. When the guy took me out to the car, there was no car seat. He said they had no record of a car seat needed. Our son is not yet even two years old. I told him we needed one and it should have been on the reservation as I had requested one. He went and found one. Not only was it just a booster seat WITHOUT the harness for a small child, but it was absolutely filthy. If I had extra time I would have went and bought a new one and taken it home on the plane with us rather than use it, but I didn't. Then he proceeded to print me new paperwork with an additional charge on it for the booster seat that to my understanding should have already been on there since I had requested it. When I asked why I was being charged more when I had requested it when making the reservation he proceeded to get an attitude with me stating it was not included and I would have to take it up with customer service. When we finally left after waiting so long to get the car and having to figure out how to get our luggage in the car with our two kids, we ended up getting caught in stand still traffic due to construction on the interstate on the way to Atlanta. My mother had driven through an hour earlier and it had been clear. We nearly missed our flight and only arrived at the gate with about 15 minutes to spare. Called customer service and they are giving me a $10 credit for the trouble and a $20 voucher to use towards another rental. When I stated I didn't want a voucher because not only was the last time I rented a car almost 7 years ago, but I would never be using Avis again he said there was nothing more he could do.

Safe to say I won't ever be using Avis again.

Poor customer service I made two separate reservations for a family trip when I go to pick up our rentals there were NO rentals available..What's the use of making a reservation???

I made an online reservation and then called to confirm the vehicle, rates, and my pick up time. There were zero cars available when I arrived. "Sorry about that."
