This is my first rental with Budget, and at this rate it will be my last with Budget and most regrettable car rental ever. This reservation was made through Costco's travel service. The state of the first car we received was egregiously unacceptable. 3/4 tank of gas, filthy interior (numerous stains in backseat, chewed up finger nails in drivers instrument panel, dirty floors), rear view mirror fell off during simple adjustment for proper viewing, low wind shield wiper fluid warning, tire pressure was either under inflated or over inflated (2 front tires at 30 psi cold, rear passenger tire was at 31 psi cold and rear drivers tire was at 43 psi cold, with the manufacturer's recommended pressure being at 34 psi cold.), exterior front full of crushed insect stains, missing tire gauge cap on rear driver tire. I have photos of some of these descriptions. After waiting for roughly an extra half an hour, another vehicle was brought by an employee from the Augusta Regional Airport. This second vehicle was in what would arguably be considered, better shape. However, the rear seat is still filthy and stained, the inside of the trunk-space is scratched and damaged, there are a number of small dings around the outside of the vehicle, the inside driver’s door has paint scratched off in a roughly 5 inch wide area just below the inside handle, and the exterior of the car looked like someone sprayed it with a garden hose to "wash" it as it was rushed to our location. Mind you, by the time we are able to be done with picking up our vehicle, it is now roughly 2:00 PM (we were scheduled for a 12 noon pickup) and we were supposed to be on the road to Atlanta to pick up family from an incoming flight. After asking the attending employee, a Ms. Geri, if there was any way to be compensated for the ensuing ordeal, she offered a $15 discount. I understand she may not have much authority when it comes to pricing, and I also must note that Geri was extremely kind and helpful, $15 felt on par with a spit in the face. I have learned, the hard way, that Budget Car Rental has appropriately described their prices as well as their service and products. Budget prices, for bottom quality and higher bottom lines. The only reason I did not choose my usual car rental company, Enterprise, is that none of their locations are open for business on Sundays. I have rented cars from Avis and Enterprise in major metropolitan areas such as San Diego and Sacramento, with much larger inventory and seemingly busier schedules, and their vehicles were always clean, and in proper working order. Why are such a small town's car rental products in such poor condition? Are they somehow far busier than a major cities location to perform basic tasks and quality checks? While we waited for our second vehicle, I overheard the car delivery employee speaking with Ms. Geri about management’s favoritism at his location, and issues in dealing with their union. More evidence supporting my developing poor impression of Budget Car Rental as a company of poor quality.

Horrible place to rent if you want an accountable car rental. Booked a rental ahead of time and then was told no car available. Ended up having to twist the whole trip after wasting hours. Very disappointed.

They will not have a car for you then charge you $150 for cancelling your prepaid reservation. I waited over 3 hours from my reservation time for a car and ended up having to cancel my prepaid reservation. They charged me $150 because of their mess up. I've been waiting for Iver 4 days for my future refund and nothing yet. The whole time I sat their not one phone call was made to try and help me. Sears needs to kick them out of their location

IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, PLEASE RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION!! I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. We reserved a full sized sedan, 2 months in prior to our trip. When we showed up for our 2pm reservation time, there were literally NO cars available. I repeat "NO" cars available. We were told 2 cars were due back in between 3:30 and 5pm. Offered no alternative solution and were told they frequently over and double book. Long story short, we took our own personal vehicle on our 9 day road trip. Please don't waste your time and go with a more reputable company!!!
