Had THE absolute BEST experience here. Brought my almost 4 year old here after two failed attempts with another dentist. I warned the front desk when I arrived that my son is absolutely terrified of the dentist and doctors in general, and I wasn't sure if we'd have any success at all, but Dr. Johnson is seriously a GEM. Despite my son having a total meltdown, he was able to reassure us that everything looked good and without traumatizing my already super sensitive little guy. As a first time mom, I can't emphasize enough how grateful I am anytime I find a practitioner who is this thoughtful and able to turn any stressful experience into a positive one. Thumbs up for this place, we'll definitely be sticking with them.

We have always had an amazing experience with Dr. Johnson. I would recommend him to anyone and I have. He is honest and never over-diagnoses . I trust him with our children.

We love Dr. Johnson and the staff at Central Park Pediatric Dentistry! My kids are always at ease and taken well care of. I like that they only schedule one family at a time so that we have our privacy. Thanks for taking of my family for over 2.5 years now!

Our 32 month old daughter broke her upper front tooth due to a sudden impulse to do a trick dive at the pool. She went in backwards and injured her chin and broke the tooth on the concrete edge on the way in.

We saw a total of seven dentists and oral surgeons in a two week quest to save the tooth, which was fractured vertically beyond the gum and into bone. Dr. Daniel Johnson's advice was the same as others, there was almost zero probability that the tooth could heal itself, and extraction was the heartbreaking advice we received from all the experts. Dr. Johnson patiently allowed us the time we needed to be certain we were doing the right thing, helping us monitor for infection with multiple visits, and then when the time came to face reality, we managed to get in the next day for the extraction, which had to be done with minimal general anesthesia delivered by a mask. Of course we worried about anesthesia for our 30 pound child, but Dr. Johnson persuaded us that the fractured tooth may break into pieces and require more effort to fully extract, and our child would be unlikely to allow it without resisting. The anesthesiologist comes only a few days per month for exceptional cases requiring general anesthesia, so we were lucky that he was on site the next day, and we took a time slot that was available due to a cancellation. We were allowed to help our daughter begin the administration of the anesthetic gas through a mask, and when our baby's eyes closed we were rushed, with my wife in tears, to the waiting area as Dr. Johnson used the very short duration of unconsciousness to extract the tooth. Dr. Johnson arrived at the waiting room within 10 minutes with the fractured tooth, and we hurried in to carry our baby out in our arms. She wanted to stay and watch a cartoon in the waiting room and was eager to raid the basket of little trinkets the kids are allowed to take home. She never showed any fear of her experience in this office through multiple visits, including the extraction day.

I would say that the parents had more fear and anxiety during our weeks with the broken tooth ordeal than the baby. The atmosphere in this office was very supportive and non-threatening for our child and and Dr. Johnson's patient and professional demeanor reassured the nervous parents.

This was our daughter's only experience with a dentist, as we had delayed longer than is advisable to start a regular dental checkup routine. Now we are on the schedule for her first normal checkup at this office, and would recommend this practice to others.

This office is wonderful and Dr. Johnson has always made our daughter and myself feel welcomed and comfortable. The faculty itself is state of the art and very welcoming to children. The staff are all wonderful and very helpful. I recently had a mommy panic about a fall that my daughter had and her teeth and they allowed us to come in as soon as I called, and on a Friday afternoon none the less. If you are looking for a dentist for your little ones who is friendly, helpful, and an excellent listener and partner is your child's oral health this is where you need to go.
