There was and probably still is a great deal of road construction near the entrance to the hotel. It's hard to spot coming up on it, and traffic on the access road can get pretty thick when they're moving vehicles on and off the road. The hotel itself was pretty nice, though it seemed a bit older than the pictures led me to believe. Bathrooms are remodeled and the rooms are spacious. Front desk was friendly. The location is handy for travelling around town.

Cool modern/Asian vibe
A great place near the madness but far away that you can still get a good night's sleep.
The deluxe king is all you need.
I'll make it 5 stars when they are done with construction.
Please note this is my preferred hotel when I stay in Austin.

It's not terrible. The atmosphere is artsy and eclectic but they need to polish up the edges to really get there and make it worth the price. The shower didn't work which was weird and disappointing. The response from management was tepid at best. How do you sell a room without a working shower? I'm still confused.

Nice enough, I liked the vibe. The back of the makeup mirror had a love message written in make up from I'm assuming the previous guest but who is to say. The shower leaks a lot of water onto the floor. The bathtub is lovely and the lamps are too. I would probably stay here again.

The building is currently being remodeled with a new one being built next to it. The main building is practically done although with a few things here and there needing to be cleaned or replaced still. The pool is in need of clean and maintance and is pretty small. The fixtures and furniture in the rooms are really nice and classy. The continental breakfast leaves a bit to be desired but it's free so no big deal. Service is friendly and helpful.
