The best fried chicken in Austin. This is a very local restaurant only 4 locations in Austin. We had a good southern lunch with collard greens, mashed potatoes and black eyed peas and cornbread of course. Try it I know you'll like it!

Maybe I came in with high expectations, but this place is just okay.
Prices are just a tad expensive for what you are served. Some of the chicken pieces were crispy while some others seemed like they had been sitting for a while, and the skin was a bit soggy. Got the mashed potatoes with a side with gravy...the gravy was an extra .50 cents. This was a tiny surprise on our bill. The gravy was tasty just surprised they charged us for a measly scoop of gravy.
The fried deviled eggs were awesome though! They were crispy and the right amount of spicy.
Place seems kid friendly and definitely dog friendly out on the patio.
I'd probably come back but I'm definitely not rushing to put this as a staple restaurant of ours.

Indoor, outdoor patio and roof options. the rooftop is small and has limited space and the bar can get hot during the summer but you'll need to sweat those calories and fat off after having some of Lucy's yummy chicken. The decor is interesting. Prices are decent. I gave it 4 stars because I'm a country girl and this city fried chicken misses the flavor mark slightly. It's definitely one of the better fried chicken joints in Austin.
