My introduction to Austin breakfast tacos. Cheap, fast, and delicious, and all three were required after our redeye from Seattle. The chorizo beans w/eggs were spectacular.

This small family-run restaurant is clean and welcoming. The workers are friendly and positive even though they're constantly swamped. The reason it's always crowded: delicious tacos.
Mix and match ingredients. Each taco is generously loaded and fairly priced. You can ask for corn tortillas if you don't mind waiting a bit or request a breakfast bowl to avoid tortillas altogether.
Be warned though: There's not much space, hardly any parking, and long lines. They close at 12:30pm, so some items start running out about 12pm. But the tacos more than make up for it.

I have been going here for well over 20 years and it remains number 1 in places to eat for me. It is authentic and the homemade corn tortillas are awesome. The customer service is phenomenal as well!
