One of my favorite places and the only place I go out of my way for in Austin. Bbq sauce, Mac n cheese, and brisket are all killer, but so is the rest of the menu.

Always out of something. Creepy server behind the counter (flanked by two good ones but that doesn't help.) Food mediocre at best. I only come in when everything else in the shopping center is too packed. I'm thinking this'll be the last time.

First time there. Seems over priced for the portion sizes compared to other places I have eaten. BBQ was what I would call "acceptable" but not anything to rave about. The meat carver person was slow. Dinning area was hot so we had to ask for a fan to be turned our way. And there are no Military discounts which is just totally un-Texan if you ask me. Would I eat there again? Only if I was hungry and they were the only place open.

I love this place. I eat here weekly, primarily because my office is at the bottom of the hill, but also because Poke-E-Jo's literally has the best staff in Austin. The food is great, but the staff are just AWESOME. I always get mine to go, cuz ain't nobody got time to eat lunch actually in a restaurant, and they are always wonderful about accommodating my to-go order...they make it very easy (some places are not like this!). So thank you Poke-E-Jo's and give all your staff a raise!! They ROCK!

I love this place. I eat here weekly, primarily because my office is at the bottom of the hill, but also because Poke-E-Jo's literally has the best staff in Austin. The food is great, but the staff are just AWESOME. I always get mine to go, cuz ain't nobody got time to eat lunch actually in a restaurant, and they are always wonderful about accommodating my to-go order...they make it very easy (some places are not like this!). So thank you Poke-E-Jo's and give all your staff a raise!! They ROCK!

Be careful of food poisoning! My 2 year old daughter is severely vomiting this morning after eating Mac and cheese and chicken strips from here. I also am suffering from food poisoning as well as my 13 yo sister and her friend.They didn't have enough cooked for all of us and had to make more so I don't know if it was undercooked chicken or something old in the Mac and cheese. But it's definitely food poisoning from them. Us four that are sick had the same food and my mom and cousin who didn't have any Mac or chicken are completely fine this morning. We went In around 8:30 last night and she began vomiting around 8:30 this morning (the 12 hour incubation period) The staff was fighting with each other the entire time in front of us. Ordering took forever. They were confused over the simplest order...Mac and cheese and chicken strips kids meals. They forgot the ribs and brisket we had to wait forever and pay again. It was a very bad experience. Especially since we paid over $80 for the food that ended up making all of us horribly sick.
