The food there wasn't bad. I would say that the food at Coyote Blues is just as good as other places that cost half as much.

I have loved coyote blues since I first moved to BR, but my last experience was terrible. I ordered the ultimate nachos and firstly they cut down the size by half (price is the same) and then the chips they used were half cooked, it was like biting into stale little tortillas. They fixed it with the chips they use for the chips and salsa they serve which I really appreciated, but once you eat the top layer there was no beans, cheese or pico de gallo on the mound of chips below. Not sure if management changed but the quality has gone down tremendously!!!
I will say the staff is still as nice as they have always been.

Definitely not authentic Mexican food. There was not one single Mexican working in the entire restaurant. The food came to the table quick but it did not taste good whatsoever. If you want Mexican food I would not suggest this place. I had the Taco salad with the marinated pork. They really skimped out on the meat. Hardly none on the plate. My wife had the shrimp & crawfish burrito in which she found peas & corn. Who puts peas & corn in a burrito? For $38.00 I really expected better than what we received.

I'm down here working from Kansas, and I tend to think of myself as a Mexican connoisseur! And this place is amazing, chips and salsa is wonderful, homage chips with queso is the best I've ever eaten! The fajitas are the bomb, the flour tortillas are simply amazing! I'll continue to eat here on a regular basis and recommend it to everyone!! And to top it all off the service is great!!

Chips and salsa are amazing! Margaritas are delicious, and the staff is always friendly. They were super accommodating for my 30+ group for my birthday!
