And not just Mexican food. The best food in Baton Rouge. I eat our every Saturday for a late lunch and I have become a regular at Mestizo's because of the food, atmosphere, and service. Keep up the good work. Fan for life.

Contemporary atmosphere, eclectic menu featuring a fusion of Cajun and Mexican cuisine. Interesting, innovative, and did I mention the margaritas? Great choice for lunch or dinner.

Very convenient location next to our hotel. Very good steak and lamb chops. Server very friendly and efficient. Also good advice on local restaurants that locals ate at. You pay what you get so not for those on a budget.

Unique and innovative cuisine. And look, I am biased. The owner is a longtime neighbor but on the other hand that means I know him well. He's a good guy and I LOVE the restaurant! Jim is always innovating. For example, last year he came up with a cauliflower bowl dish that's just brilliant! I tried to copy it at home but couldn't quite get there. Almost. He takes junkets. 😂😂 Wait. I mean research trips, at least once a year to come up with new recipes. You need to stop in once a month, minimum, to keep up with the menu.
